New Delhi: The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has invited applications for the post of Director (Finance) at Container Corporation of India Limited (CONCOR). The notification was released on August 29, 2025, setting September 25, 2025, as the final date for submissions.
Key Vacancy in CONCOR’s Leadership
The Director (Finance) position has remained vacant since October 11, 2024, following the elevation of Manoj Kumar Dubey (IRAS: 1993) as Chairman and Managing Director of Indian Railway Finance Corporation (IRFC). Dubey had earlier served as CONCOR’s Director (Finance) since October 2018. His tenure was extended in September 2023, granting him an additional five years until October 2028. However, his move to IRFC left the post vacant ahead of schedule.
Interim Arrangements in Place
Since the vacancy arose, Anurag Kapil, Executive Director, Finance (X), Railway Board, has been holding additional charge of the position. The PESB notification now seeks to fill the post on a permanent basis. Eligible candidates from both public and private sectors may apply through the official PESB portal.
Strategic Significance of the Role
The Director (Finance) plays a pivotal role in shaping CONCOR’s financial strategy. The position oversees corporate finance, investment planning, and risk management in alignment with the PSU’s expansion and operational goals. With CONCOR spearheading India’s containerized freight movement and logistics growth, filling this leadership role is critical for sustaining financial strength and driving future projects.
