Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently interacted with 181 Officer Trainees of the 2022 batch of IAS who have been posted as Assistant Secretaries in various Ministries and Departments at Sushma Swaraj Bhawan in New Delhi.
During the interaction, the Prime Minister recalled his earlier interaction with them during the Aarambh programme in 2022. He explained that the term New India is not satisfied with a lazy approach and demands proactiveness and the IAS officers should endeavour to provide the best possible governance, quality of manufacturing and quality of life to all citizens.
Talking about schemes like Lakhpati Didi, Drone Didi, PM Awas Yojana etc., he said all of them should work with a saturation approach to take these schemes further to the people. He said that the saturation approach ensures social justice and prevents discrimination. He said it is their choice whether they will be speed breakers or superfast highways in service delivery. He also suggested that they should aspire to be catalytic agents, and they will feel satisfaction when they see change happening in front of their eyes.
Dr. Jitendra Singh, the incumbent Minister of State (Personnel), Mr. P. K. Mishra (1972-batch IAS officer), the present Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister, Mr. Rajiv Gauba (1982-batch IAS officer), the incumbent Cabinet Secretary and Mr. A.K. Bhalla (1984-batch IAS officer), Secretary (Home and DoPT), and other senior officers were present during the interaction.
