PM Modi Launches ₹79 Cr Milk Plant in Indore; MP CM Yadav Hails Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana as a Game-Changer for Indian Agriculture

Bhopal/Indore: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said the Pradhan Mantri Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana will “write a new chapter in India’s agricultural development”, following the unveiling of several major initiatives by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday.

Participating virtually in the “Samman Kisanon Ka, Sankalp Samriddh Rashtra Ka” event organized by the Union Agriculture Ministry in Delhi, CM Yadav joined from Indore’s Brilliant Convention Center, where farmers and agriculture officials had gathered to witness the announcements.

Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana: PM Modi Inaugurates ₹79 Crore Milk Powder Plant in Indore

In a significant boost to dairy infrastructure, PM Modi virtually inaugurated a state-of-the-art milk powder plant in Indore with a capacity of 3 lakh tonnes, constructed at a cost of ₹79 crore.

The plant is expected to enhance the value chain for dairy farmers in Madhya Pradesh and surrounding regions.

FPO Expansion, PACS Digitalization, and Rural Certification Drive Highlighted

During his address, Prime Minister Modi emphasized the integration of cooperative societies in Indore and Gwalior with PACS (Primary Agricultural Credit Societies) as a “historic move” to strengthen grassroots financial and cooperative systems.

Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana

CM Dr. Yadav reiterated that under the Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana, over 10,000 Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) have been formed, with 50 lakh farmers already enrolled nationwide.

He also detailed progress under the National Rural Agriculture Mission:

·Certification of 1 lakh farmers

·Accreditation of 4,275 Maitri workers

·Approval for computerization of 10,000+ multipurpose PACS

·New Agri Schemes Aim to Uplift 100 Low-Yielding Districts

The launch also included the announcement of the Pulse Self-Reliance Mission, designed to increase pulse production across the country—particularly in 100 low-yielding districts. Combined with the Krishi Yojana, these schemes are set to boost productivity, ensure better price realization, and empower marginal farmers.

Over ₹42,000 crore worth of agri-sector projects were unveiled, targeting sectors such as:

·Dairy

·Fisheries

·Animal Husbandry

·Food Processing

CM Mohan Yadav Expresses Gratitude to PM Modi for Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana

Dr. Yadav thanked PM Modi for the new projects and attention to Madhya Pradesh’s rural economy.

These gifts from the Prime Minister will bring prosperity to our farmers and strengthen the foundation of a self-reliant India,” he said.

The Chief Minister was later warmly welcomed by farmers in Indore district, who expressed their support for the ongoing rural and agricultural reforms.
