Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (Power Grid) launched Vigilance Awareness Week (VAW) 2024 with a walkathon led by CMD RK Tyagi, joined by Director (Finance) G Ravisankar, Director (Personnel) Dr. Yatindra Dwivedi, and Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) DK Madan, along with employees from the Corporate Centre in Gurugram.
During the event, CMD DK Madan administered an integrity pledge to employees and senior officials, while messages from the President, Vice President, Prime Minister, Union Minister of Power, and Central Vigilance Commissioner were shared. Vigilance Awareness Week is being observed from October 28 to November 3 with the theme “Culture of Integrity for Nation’s Prosperity.” Various activities are planned across Power Grid’s locations nationwide. Preceding VAW 2024, drawing, essay, and debate competitions were held at Govt. School, Ulhawas, and Gurugram University.
As of October 15, Power Grid’s transmission assets total 1,78,975 circuit kilometers of transmission lines, 280 substations, 5,40,961 MVA of transformation capacity, and an impressive system availability of 99.81%.
