Gurugram: Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) is observing Vigilance Awareness Week 2025 from October 27 to November 2 across its more than 300 establishments nationwide. The annual observance was inaugurated at the Corporate Office in Gurugram with the administration of the ‘Integrity Pledge’ by Dr. Ravindra Kumar Tyagi, Chairman and Managing Director of Power Grid. The ceremony was attended by senior officials including G Ravisankar, Director (Finance); Dr. Yatindra Dwivedi, Director (Personnel); Naveen Srivastava, Director (Operations); Burra Vamsi Rama Mohan, Director (Projects); and Naveen Kumar, Chief Vigilance Officer, along with employees and other dignitaries.
Theme and Purpose of Vigilance Awareness Week
This year’s Vigilance Awareness Week is being observed under the theme, “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility.” The week-long initiative aims to promote a culture of integrity, transparency, and accountability within the organization, while fostering public awareness about the importance of vigilance in both professional and social life. By encouraging collective responsibility, Power Grid seeks to strengthen efforts towards creating a corruption-free society.
Engaging Activities to Promote Integrity
In line with the theme, Power Grid organized a Walkathon at its Corporate Office, drawing enthusiastic participation from employees. This was followed by a Nukkad Natak (street play) performed at the Corporate Office and surrounding areas, delivering messages of honesty and vigilance to both employees and the local community.
Beyond the Corporate Office, Power Grid’s regional offices and substations are hosting a diverse array of activities, including Lok Geet performances, Cyclothons, Puppet Shows, Gram Sabhas, Slogan Writing and Drawing Competitions, and Debates. These activities are designed to engage employees creatively, strengthen community interaction, and highlight the importance of ethical conduct in public and private spheres.
