The Public Enterprises Selection Board selected Mr. Praveen Kumar, presently serving as the Executive Director of the Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL), as the next Managing Director (MD) of DFCCIL. He shall assume his new office after he receives vigilance clearances and approval from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC). Mr. Kumar made the cut from a list of four other viable candidates.
