A total of 1,123 police personnel from 25 states, four union territories, and 10 Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) gathered at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on Sunday for the 73rd All India Police Athletic Cluster Championship.
The event, inaugurated by Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena, featured 45 athletic events and seven cycling competitions. Mr. Saxena highlighted the importance of sports for police personnel, emphasizing its role in fostering discipline and teamwork. In the 10km run, UP Police’s Mr. Prince Kumar and Ms. Ujala won gold in the male and female categories, respectively.

Organized by Delhi Police under the All India Police Sports Control Board, the championship showcased not only athletic skill but also the values of camaraderie and discipline that are crucial for law enforcement.
