Leadership Change: Thangarajan Subash Chandira Bosh Selected as Director (Projects), REC Limited by PESB

Top Power Sector Executive to Take Over Key Role at REC

New Delhi: The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has selected Thangarajan Subash Chandira Bosh for the post of Director (Projects) at REC Limited, a key public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Power. His appointment follows a highly competitive selection process involving some of the most senior executives in India’s power and infrastructure sector.

Bosh is currently serving as the Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of REC Power Development & Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of REC Limited.

The PESB conducted interviews with 11 senior professionals from leading PSUs and government entities. The candidates included:

  • Mr. Rajeev Kumar Chaturvedi – Executive Director, Power Finance Corporation Limited
  • Mr. V. Packirisamy – Executive Director, Power Finance Corporation Limited
  • Mr. Ali Shah – Executive Director (Entity Appraisal–II & CSR), Power Finance Corporation Limited
  • Mr. Hemant Kumar Das – Executive Director (Projects), Power Finance Corporation Limited
  • Mr. Arun Kumar Tyagi – Executive Director (SAM, PSPM), REC Limited
  • Mr. Pankaj Pandey – Executive Director (TBCB), Power Grid Corporation of India
  • Mr. Vijay Chand – Executive Director & Business Unit Head, NTPC Limited
  • Ms. Neelam Chandra – Chief Electrical Engineer / Chief Electrical Traction Engineer, Indian Railways
  • Mr. Ajay K. Sinha – Chief Design Engineer, Centre for Design and Development, Indian Railways

Despite the high-caliber competition, Bosh’s extensive experience in leading project implementation and consultancy services under RECPDCL helped him secure the top recommendation from PESB.

REC Limited, formerly Rural Electrification Corporation, plays a central role in financing and implementing large-scale power infrastructure projects across India. As Director (Projects), Bosh will be responsible for overseeing project execution, ensuring alignment with national energy goals, and enhancing REC’s project delivery capabilities.
