The inaugural deployment saw 10 electric cars ceremoniously flagged off by Shantanu Roy, Chairman and Managing Director of BEML, accompanied by the company’s functional directors and senior executives.

Leadership Remarks on Sustainability Vision
Speaking at the launch, CMD Shantanu Roy stated, “On the eve of World Environment Day, this initiative is a reaffirmation of BEML’s deep-rooted commitment to environmental stewardship. To support this transition, BEML is investing in EV-supportive infrastructure, including charging stations and energy-efficient transport solutions, across its four major manufacturing plants.

A Public Sector Pioneer in Green Mobility
With this move, BEML joins a growing cohort of forward-thinking public sector undertakings (PSUs) embracing clean energy solutions.
