Mr. Ashutosh Dwivedi is set to assume charge as the next Director (Technical) of Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), a public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Coal. His name was recommended by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel in a selection meeting held on May 28.

Mr. Dwivedi is currently serving as Executive Director (Safety & Rescue) at Coal India Limited (CIL). He was chosen from a pool of 12 candidates, which included professionals from various leading organisations such as Coal India Limited, NLC India Limited (NLCIL), Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL), Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), and Jindal Power Ltd.
The selection of Mr. Dwivedi for this key technical leadership role reflects his extensive experience and contributions in the coal sector. His appointment is expected to bolster technical operations and enhance safety and productivity initiatives at NCL.
