NMDC Limited has allocated Rs. 113.53 crore for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives in Chhattisgarh for the fiscal year 2024-25, emphasizing its dedication to sustainable and inclusive growth.
The budget supports 148 projects, with Rs. 108.92 crore designated for initiatives proposed by state authorities. Of this, Rs. 82.80 crore will be executed directly by NMDC, while Rs. 26.12 crore will involve collaboration with state agencies.
The projects will address critical areas such as education, healthcare, and infrastructure. In education, NMDC aims to upgrade institutions like Aastha Gurukul and Saksham, promote literacy and vocational training, and improve infrastructure in remote areas. Healthcare efforts will focus on building health centers, installing solar systems, and equipping underserved areas with advanced medical equipment.
For child welfare, NMDC plans to enhance Anganwadi centers, ensuring better nutrition and well-being for children. The company will also invest in infrastructure development, including roads and community halls, to boost connectivity and living standards in rural communities.
