The Punjab government has ordered a major reshuffle by transferring 11 IAS and 43 PCS officers along the state. According to the order issued on Monday IAS officer Alok Shekhar has been posted as principal secretary, health and family planning, along with the additional charge of principal secretary, medical education and research. Mr. Shekhar will replace Hussan Lal, who has been given the posting as principal secretary, investment promotion. Mr. Lal will also hold the additional charge of principal secretary, industries and commerce, and principal secretary, information technology.
Besides both of them, several other officers including Sumer Singh Gurjar, Ravindra Kumar Kaushik has also been given new postings.
Mr. Gurjar is appointed as commissioner for persons with disabilities. Whereas Mr. Kaushik will now serve as managing director, Punsup, in addition to commissioner, Faridkot division. Daljit Sngh Mangat as secretary, planning, in addition to commissioner, Ferozpur division; and Dilraj Singh as secretary, revenue and rehabilitation.
Bhupinder Singh-II was shifted as director, social justice, empowerment and minorities while Sandeep Kumar has been posted as additional deputy commissioner (urban development), Ludhiana. Mr. Kumar has also given charge as additional chief administrator, Greater Ludhiana Area Development Authority. Aaditya Dachalwal will join as additional commissioner, municipal corporation, Ludhiana.
Sub-divisional magistrates (SDMs) of Dera Baba Nanak and Kharar were also transferred on new positions.
