Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Wednesday chaired a high-level meeting to review preparations for the Progressive Punjab Investment Summit 2026, scheduled to be held from March 13–15 in Mohali. The summit is aimed at accelerating industrial growth and positioning Punjab as a leading investment destination in India and globally.
Summit to Boost Industrial Growth in Punjab
Addressing senior officials, CM Mann said the Progressive Punjab Investment Summit will act as a catalyst to further strengthen industrial development in the state.
“The summit will offer a healthy platform to transform the destiny of the state by giving a major push to industrial development,” he said, adding that Punjab has already emerged as a preferred investment destination worldwide.
The Chief Minister emphasized that marathon discussions with global industrial leaders during the summit will help evolve a pro-industry action plan for long-term economic growth.
Theme: ‘Punjab Means Business — Policy to Practice’
The 2026 summit will be organized under the theme ‘Punjab Means Business — Policy to Practice’, highlighting the state government’s commitment to translating policies into actionable outcomes for investors.
CM Mann said the government has conducted extensive roadshows across major Indian cities including Gurugram, New Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Mumbai. International outreach programs were also held in Japan, South Korea, and other countries to attract global investors.
Strong Response from Domestic and Global Investors
The Chief Minister stated that the state has received an overwhelming response from leading industrial houses in India as well as international investors.
He described the summit as a major opportunity for businesses to explore investment opportunities in Punjab, noting that the state offers competitive incentives and investor-friendly policies.
Reforms to Ensure Ease of Doing Business
Highlighting key reforms, CM Mann said the state government has introduced Green Stamp Paper for sale deed registration to ensure faster regulatory approvals and smooth clearance processes for industrial projects.
He also underlined that Punjab boasts a congenial industrial climate and skilled workforce, capable of meeting the needs of both domestic and international industries.
Focus on Power and Infrastructure
Stressing the importance of energy security, CM Mann said, “Power is the engine of growth,” adding that the state government has made sustained efforts to make Punjab power surplus to support industrial expansion.
The upcoming summit is expected to play a crucial role in strengthening Punjab’s economic landscape and attracting large-scale investments across key sectors.
