Chandigarh: In a significant administrative exercise, the Punjab government on Tuesday ordered the transfer and posting of eight Indian Police Service (IPS) officers with immediate effect. The transfer orders were issued by the Department of Home Affairs (Home-I Branch) through an order of the Governor of Punjab, bearing the approval of the competent authority.
