Punjab: IAS Ajoy Kumar Sinha Takes Over Addl Roles as Principal Secy for Power & Renewable Energy

This decision has led to the relieving of Mr Rahul Tiwari, an IAS officer of 2000 batch, from these additional charges.

1996 batch IAS officer of Punjab cadre, Mr Ajoy Kumar Sinha, who is currently serving as the Principal Secretary of Finance, Punjab, has been entrusted with additional responsibilities in the state government. He has now been given the additional charge of Principal Secretary – Power, Principal Secretary – New & Renewable Energy, and Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) of the Punjab State Transmission Corporation Ltd (PSTCL).

This decision has led to the relieving of Mr Rahul Tiwari, an IAS officer of 2000 batch, from these additional charges. The new appointments are expected to further strengthen the governance of Punjab’s power and renewable energy sectors, with Sinha’s expertise in handling the finance portfolio likely to bring added strategic direction to these crucial areas.

Mr Sinha has a distinguished career in the Indian Administrative Service and is recognized for his significant contributions to the administrative framework of Punjab.
