Chandigarh: In a key administrative development, Vivek Pratap Singh, a 1996-batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the new Principal Secretary to Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria. Singh, known for his extensive experience in various governmental roles, will begin his tenure working alongside IAS officer Kakumanu Siva Prasad.
Singh’s role will be crucial as he supports Governor Kataria’s office while also collaborating with Prasad. However, it has been specified that Singh will take over the duties independently once Kakumanu Siva Prasad concludes his current assignment.
The move comes as part of a broader set of administrative changes in Punjab, with the government seeking to bolster efficiency in the state’s governance structure.
