The Punjab Vigilance Bureau has reassigned responsibilities to two senior officers as part of a fresh internal redistribution of work aimed at improving coordination and operational efficiency. The decision, announced through an official order issued from the bureau’s headquarters in Chandigarh, entrusts Naveen Singla and Harpreet Singh, both officers of the Indian Police Service, with additional supervisory roles across multiple wings and ranges of the department.
The order was signed by Praveen Kumar Sinha, Chief Director of the Vigilance Bureau, and has come into effect immediately, replacing all previous work distribution directives.
Naveen Singla Assigned Supervision of Key Vigilance Units
IPS officer Naveen Singla, currently serving as Director in the Punjab Vigilance Bureau, has been given oversight of several crucial operational units. These include the VB Flying Squad operating across Punjab as well as vigilance ranges in Jalandhar, Rupnagar (located at SAS Nagar), Ludhiana, Patiala, and Bathinda.
In addition to field units, Singla will also supervise several important wings at the Vigilance Bureau headquarters. These include the Administration branch, the IVC and SU wings, and the Crime and Complaint Cell, along with all technical officers posted at the headquarters.

Harpreet Singh to Oversee Economic Offences Wings
IPS officer Harpreet Singh, currently serving as Deputy Inspector General of Police for Economic Offences Wing in the Vigilance Bureau, has been assigned the supervision of the Economic Offences Wings (EOW-1 and EOW-2)across Punjab.
He will also oversee the EOW unit in Ludhiana, as well as vigilance ranges in Amritsar and Ferozepur, strengthening oversight over investigations related to corruption and financial irregularities in these regions.
Move Aimed at Improving Coordination
Officials said the redistribution of responsibilities is intended to streamline the functioning of various units within the Vigilance Bureau. By assigning expanded supervisory roles to senior officers, the department aims to enhance coordination, improve monitoring of investigations, and ensure more effective action against corruption and economic offences.
