Horticulture and Branding Projects in Champawat
In Champawat district, Mr. Dhami has sanctioned:
- Rs. 37.51 lakh for setting up a horticulture farm at Mudiyani, enhancing agri-business opportunities near the district headquarters.
- Rs. 49.82 lakh for establishing a House of Himalayas marketing center at Amodi, aimed at promoting local produce and crafts through a centralized branding and sales platform.
These initiatives are expected to boost rural livelihoods, local entrepreneurship, and agrarian exports in the Himalayan region.
Water Infrastructure Upgrades in Dehradun
In Dehradun’s Dharampur Assembly constituency, the Chief Minister approved Rs. 60.00 lakh for replacing old and dilapidated pipelines in Ward 86, Sewla Kalan. This move is part of the state’s broader push for urban water supply modernization, which is key to improving public health and quality of life in rapidly urbanizing regions.
Temple Tourism to Flourish in Bageshwar
Recognizing the potential of spiritual tourism in Uttarakhand, Rs. 58.64 lakh has been sanctioned in the Kapkot Assembly constituency (Bageshwar district) for the beautification and development of temple complexes including:
- Shikhar Mool Narayan Campus
- Alkhanath Temple Kilpara
- Kanda Simkula
- Ghatwariya
- Shiv Temple Sundargufa Kanda
- Bajyain Temple Dhai ljar
- Nanda Devi Temple Dophad
This initiative is poised to enhance tourism infrastructure, promote heritage conservation, and generate employment for locals through pilgrimage-based tourism.
Traveller Facilities in Tehri District
In Tehri district (Dhanaulti Assembly constituency), Rs. 60.00 lakh has been approved for the construction of a Yatri Vishram Grah (travellers’ rest house) at Dwarikapuri. This facility aims to support increasing tourist footfall in the region and provide essential amenities to pilgrims and visitors.
Strengthening Rural Health Infrastructure
A major allocation of Rs. 35.50 crore has been released for upgrading Primary Health Centres (PHCs) and Sub-Centres (SCs) into Health and Wellness Centres in rural areas for the fiscal year 2025–26. This move, under the 15th Finance Commission’s recommendations, aims to provide comprehensive primary healthcare at the grassroots level, especially in underserved areas.
Urban Local Bodies Empowered with Rs. 98.52 Crore
To strengthen urban governance and infrastructure, the Chief Minister also approved:
- Rs. 39.41 crore (untied grants) for all urban local bodies in FY 2024–25.
- Rs. 59.11 crore (tied grants) under the same fiscal plan.
These funds will allow urban bodies to address local priorities, improve civic amenities, and implement community welfare projects with increased autonomy and efficiency.
