Bhopal: In a significant step to promote safe and clean tourism, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav flagged off the third edition of the women’s biking tour “Queens on the Wheels.” The initiative, launched ahead of Women’s Day and Rangpanchami, will feature 25 courageous women riders covering 1,400 kilometers across Madhya Pradesh from March 7 to 13, 2026.
The tour is aimed at highlighting Madhya Pradesh’s rich culture, heritage, and scenic diversity, while promoting women’s safety and adventure tourism in the state.
25 Courageous Women Riders Embark on the Tour
The third edition of “Queens on the Wheels” includes 25 women riders from across India, including Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and West Bengal. These highly experienced riders will traverse major tourist and cultural destinations, showcasing Madhya Pradesh as a safe and welcoming state for women travelers.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav emphasized that the journey will be unique, adventurous, and fruitful, serving as a symbol of women empowerment and safety in Madhya Pradesh.

Interaction with CM and Tourism Promotion
The flag-off ceremony took place at the Chief Minister’s residence in Bhopal. During the event, riders shared their experiences and discussed tourism promotion with Dr. Yadav.
The Chief Minister also interacted with young tourism promoters active on social media and took a group photo with the team, reinforcing the government’s commitment to involving citizens in state tourism initiatives.
Tour Route: Showcasing Madhya Pradesh’s Rich Heritage
The biking tour will cover some of Madhya Pradesh’s most famous destinations:
• Sanchi – UNESCO World Heritage Buddhist monuments
• Udayagiri and Chanderi – Historical forts and heritage sites
• Khajuraho – Renowned for temples and art
• Kuno National Park – Wildlife conservation area
• Gwalior, Mitawali, Orchha – Cultural and architectural landmarks
Dr. Yadav highlighted the diverse beauty of the state: the simplicity of Nimar, the vibrancy of Malwa, the valor of Bundelkhand, the folk arts of Baghelkhand, the glorious history of Chambal, and the scenic Mahakaushal region.

Ensuring Safety and Comfort
The Madhya Pradesh government has arranged for all necessary facilities to ensure the comfort and safety of the riders, including accommodation and emergency support. Dr. Yadav urged the team to ride carefully and enjoy the journey while highlighting the state’s tourism potential.
The tour also aims to promote religious tourism and environmentally sustainable travel, reflecting the government’s commitment to a clean and safe natural environment.

Alongside Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Higher Education Minister Inder Singh Parmar attended the flag-off ceremony, extending support to the women riders and the state tourism initiative.
