Rabindra Nath Mishra, who was assigned the additional charge of Director (Finance) at IRCTC starting October 1, 2024, for a period of six months, will continue to hold the position until further orders.
Mr Mishra is a 1997-batch officer of the Indian Railways Accounts Service (IRAS). He is currently serving as Executive Director (Finance – Commercial & PPP) in the Ministry of Railways and brings with him extensive experience across various key roles within Indian Railways and associated organizations. His previous assignments include Deputy Chief Vigilance Officer at East Central Railway, Director (Finance) at the Railway Board, and FA&CAO (Finance & Budget) at the Northern Railway Headquarters.
In addition to his current role, he has also served as Executive Director (Finance – Establishment) and contributed to the Pay Commission matters. He briefly held the additional charge of Director (Finance) at RailTel Corporation of India, a listed CPSE, in 2022.

Mr Mishra is also a Government Director on the boards of Wabtec Locomotive Private Limited and Madhepura Electric Locomotive Private Limited, a joint venture between the Government of India and Alstom.
An awardee of the National Railway Award for his outstanding service and contributions, Mr Mishra has completed several prestigious training programs at international institutions including ESCAP (London and Paris), INSEAD (Singapore), ICLIF (Kuala Lumpur), and ISB (Mohali). These programs focused on leadership, organizational behavior, communication, and financial management.
Academically, he holds a Postgraduate degree in Physics, an LLB, and an MBA in Finance, reflecting his strong multidisciplinary background.
