New Delhi: RailTel played a key role in shaping discussions on artificial intelligence (AI) for inclusive, accessible, and universal healthcare at the India AI Impact Summit 2026, held at Bharat Mandapam. The summit, organized under the aegis of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and the IndiaAI Mission, brought together policymakers, technology leaders, healthcare professionals, researchers, and innovators from India and abroad.
RailTel’s participation highlighted its commitment to leveraging AI and digital infrastructure to bridge healthcare access gaps and improve equitable healthcare delivery across underserved populations.
Engaging Panel Sessions on AI and Public Health
RailTel curated two impactful sessions during the summit:
- “Public Health Powered by AI: RailTel’s Collaborative Model for AI-enabled Inclusive Healthcare for Bharat and Beyond”
- “AI for Inclusive, Accessible, and Universal Healthcare”
During the first session, panelists explored collaborative models involving government institutions, healthcare providers, research organizations, and technology partners. Discussions emphasized AI’s potential in disease surveillance, early detection, clinical decision support, and population-scale health management, while stressing that AI must bridge healthcare gaps rather than widen them.
The second session focused on ensuring AI-based healthcare solutions reach underserved and remote populations. Experts highlighted the importance of patient-centric policies, realistic deployment strategies, healthcare literacy, and outcome-based performance indicators. Challenges such as limited high-bandwidth infrastructure in remote areas were also discussed, with recommendations for scalable and inclusive AI interventions.

Speaking at the summit, RailTel CMD Sanjai Kumar emphasized the company’s role as a key enabler of secure and scalable digital infrastructure for AI-driven public health services. He highlighted how RailTel’s efforts support India’s digital transformation and technology-led public service delivery.
