RailTel Corporation of India Ltd, a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Railways, has entered into a partnership with Lamrin Tech Skills University (LTSU), Punjab, and the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) to launch specialized skill development programs for the railway sector.
As per an official statement, the initiative seeks to address workforce skill gaps in Railways and related fields by introducing Post Graduate Diploma, Certification, and Industry-Sponsored Diploma courses tailored to industry needs. The MoU was signed in the presence of RailTel CMD Sanjai Kumar, NSDC Academy Vice President Nitin Kapoor, and LTSU Chancellor & NSDC Advisor Dr. Sandeep Singh Kaura, along with senior officials from all three organizations.
This collaboration will facilitate curriculum design, practical training, industry exposure, and job placement assistance. RailTel will contribute industry insights, enable internships, and help set up railway-focused training labs. LTSU will provide advanced facilities, expert faculty, and academic support, while NSDC will coordinate industry linkages, financial aid, and outreach efforts. The initiative aims to enhance workforce readiness and strengthen ties between academia and industry.
