New Delhi: RailTel Corporation of India Limited has secured two major domestic contracts worth over ₹64 crore, further strengthening its role in railway infrastructure development and government digital service delivery across India.
The company disclosed the development under Regulation 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, informing stock exchanges about the newly awarded projects.
₹34.29 Crore Railway Signaling and Telecom Project
RailTel has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from the Deputy Chief Signal & Telecom Engineer (Projects) of South Central Railway for executing key signaling and telecom works in the Guntur division.
The project includes:
- Signaling and telecom arrangements for yard remodeling at Guntur Junction Railway Station
- Implementation of an Automatic Block Signaling System between the GNT–NLPD section in the Guntur division
The estimated contract value is ₹34.29 crore (including taxes). The project is scheduled for completion by September 4, 2027.
This initiative is expected to improve railway safety, operational efficiency, and train movement management in the region.
₹29.90 Crore Contract for UP Police Recruitment Exams
In another development, RailTel has received a work order worth approximately ₹29.90 crore from the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board.
Under this contract, the company will provide security-related ancillary services during recruitment examinations conducted by the board.
The services will remain in effect until March 13, 2028, supporting secure and smooth conduct of large-scale recruitment exams across the state.
Boost to Government Digital and Railway Infrastructure Projects
Both contracts are domestic orders and do not involve any related party transactions, the company confirmed. RailTel also stated that its promoters or promoter group entities have no interest in the awarding authorities.
Industry analysts believe these projects further strengthen RailTel’s position in railway modernization, digital infrastructure, and government service delivery projects across India.
The work orders were received on March 13, 2026, and the company has formally notified the stock exchanges.
