Jaipur: In a sweeping administrative reshuffle, the Rajasthan government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, transferred 62 IAS officers, including 11 district collectors, in a late-night bureaucratic overhaul on Sunday.

The move, long anticipated within governance circles, also included additional charges being assigned to 21 senior IAS officers, signaling a structural shift in the state’s top administrative machinery.

High-Level IAS Reshuffle Targets Key Departments

The large-scale reshuffle affects several vital departments, with a clear aim to realign governance priorities and inject momentum into critical infrastructure, industry, and development sectors. The reassignment of district collectors points toward a reconfiguration of ground-level administration, especially in districts central to infrastructure, tourism, and industrial development.

A Generational Shift in State Administration

Sources within the state administration note that the move is aligned with the Chief Minister’s agenda of administrative modernization, faster project delivery, and improved coordination among departments.
