In a wide-ranging administrative move, the Rajasthan Government has ordered a major reshuffle across the Police Department, issuing transfer orders for 142 Additional Superintendents of Police (ASP). The decision, taken by the Home Department, aims to streamline law enforcement efficiency, improve district-level policing, and strengthen departmental functioning across the state.
RAS Officers Also Shifted in Parallel Bureaucratic Reshuffle
Alongside police restructuring, the government also released transfer orders for 22 Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) officers on Saturday evening. Notably, 13 officers who were recently promoted from Tehsildar to RAS have now been assigned fresh postings. The coordinated reshuffle is being viewed as a move to enhance administrative responsiveness in both urban and rural belts of Rajasthan.
Additional Responsibilities Assigned to Strengthen Women’s Battalions
In a significant development focused on women’s security and leadership within the police force, three officers have been entrusted with additional responsibilities as Deputy Commandants of various women’s battalions. These appointments are set to reinforce the state’s focus on gender-inclusive policing and strengthen specialized women-oriented units.
The officers assigned new roles include:
– Mr. Rajiv Kumar Parihar, Deputy Commandant (1st Battalion), Jodhpur – now assigned to the Amrita Devi Battalion, Barmer
– Ms. Preeti Kankani, Deputy Commandant, Hadirani Women’s Battalion, Ajmer – now assigned to the Padmini Women’s Battalion, Sikar
– Mr. Yashpal Tripathi, ASP (Central Stores, Police Headquarters) – now posted to the Kalibai Women’s Battalion, Alwar
These strategic postings are expected to bolster operational preparedness, enhance women-centric policing initiatives, and improve leadership representation in specialized battalions.
