Lucknow: In a significant decision aimed at ensuring continuity in key infrastructure projects, the Government of Uttar Pradesh has reappointed Mr Rakesh Kumar Singh, a 2009 batch promotee IAS officer, as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) and Noida International Airport Limited (NAIL) for one year after his superannuation.
A formal Office Memorandum was issued by the Industrial Development Section – 4 of the state government on Monday, announcing the extension of Singh’s tenure from October 1, 2025, to September 30, 2026, or until further orders, whichever comes earlier.
Key Details of Re-employment
The post of CEO, YEIDA, which was to be vacated upon Singh’s retirement on September 30, 2025, has been abolished temporarily for the period of re-employment, enabling the extension.
The reappointment is governed by the following terms:
- Pay Adjustments: The pension amount payable to Singh will be deducted from the last pay drawn. Allowances such as DA, HRA, medical allowance, and others will be admissible as per existing government rules.
- No Financial Burden on State: The Uttar Pradesh government will not provide financial assistance for his remuneration. All expenses will be borne by YEIDA and NAIL from their own resources.
- Immediate Effect: The order comes into effect from October 1, 2025.
The reappointment was formally approved by the Governor of Uttar Pradesh, following recommendations from relevant departments and the Infrastructure and Industrial Development Commission.
