REC Limited, a Maharatna Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) under the Ministry of Power, has pledged ₹2.01 crore under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative to bolster the healthcare sector in Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
The allocated funds will procure essential medical equipment for three Community Health Centres (CHCs) and the District Hospital in Raipur district. The project, which aims to strengthen healthcare infrastructure, will be executed by the District Health Society (DHS), Raipur.
Dr. Mithilesh Choudhary, Chief Medical and Health Officer of Raipur, and Pradeep Fellows, Executive Director (CSR) of REC Limited, signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) for this initiative on Thursday.
This CSR intervention is expected to significantly enhance the quality and accessibility of healthcare services, particularly benefiting underserved and vulnerable populations. By facilitating faster diagnoses and timely medical treatment, the initiative aims to improve patient outcomes and overall healthcare standards in the district.
