New Delhi: REC Limited, a Maharatna Central Public Sector Undertaking (CPSU) and a leading Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) under the Ministry of Power, has been conferred with the prestigious Rajbhasha Deepti Shield Award. The award recognizes REC’s outstanding efforts in promoting and implementing the Official Language Policy of the Government of India during the year 2023–24.
The award was presented during a meeting of the Hindi Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Power, held on Thursday in New Delhi.
Award Received by REC CMD and Executive Director
REC Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Jitendra Srivastava and Executive Director (Official Language) RP Vaishnaw jointly received the award from Union Minister for Power and Housing & Urban Affairs Manohar Lal.
The award highlights REC’s commitment to ensuring consistent and effective use of Hindi across its operations and aligns with the government’s larger goal of promoting the use of the official language in administrative and corporate functioning.
