The award was presented at a ceremony in London by the Golden Peacock Awards Secretariat and the Institute of Directors. The award highlights REC’s dedication to transparency, accountability, and ethical business practices—values that have been central to the company’s sustained success and reputation in the industry.

In an official statement, the Maharatna power PSU said, “The Golden Peacock Award is a testament to REC’s unwavering commitment to the highest standards of corporate governance. Vivek Kumar Dewangan (IAS), Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of REC Limited, expressed his gratitude, stating, “We are deeply honoured to receive the Golden Peacock Award for Excellence in Corporate Governance. The award was conferred by a distinguished jury, which included the 25th Chief Justice of India, Justice MN Venkatachaliah, Justice U. U. Lalit, former Chief Justice of India, and Prof. (Judge) Mervyn E. King SC, among other prominent figures.
