REC Limited has been awarded the ‘Gold Shield’ under the ‘Financial Services Sector (Other than Banking and Insurance)’ category at the ICAI Awards for Excellence in Financial Reporting for 2023-24. The award, organized by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), recognizes excellence in financial reporting, transparency, and adherence to accounting standards.
The selection was based on REC’s accounting practices, financial disclosures, presentation of statements, and compliance with Indian accounting standards and regulations. REC Limited’s Director (Finance) Harsh Baweja, along with Executive Directors (Finance) Rajesh Kumar and Mohan Lal Kumawat, received the award from Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal at the World Forum of Accountants in New Delhi. ICAI President CA Ranjeet Kumar Agarwal and other council members were also present.
Harsh Baweja expressed gratitude for the recognition, emphasizing REC’s commitment to financial excellence. Since 1958, ICAI has been organizing these awards to promote best practices in financial reporting across various sectors.
