Mr. Raghav Chandra, a 1982-batch Retired IAS officer of the Madhya Pradesh cadre, has been appointed as Professor of Practice at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Calcutta, under the Academic Group of Public Policy and Management.

Bringing decades of administrative experience, Mr. Chandra has served in key roles, including Secretary, National Commission for Scheduled Tribes, Chairman, National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), and Secretary, Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs.
An alumnus of the University of Delhi, he completed his Bachelor of Science in 1978 and a Master of Science in 1980. He later pursued a Master of Public Administration at Harvard University in 1998, where he was awarded the Japan-World Bank Merit Scholarship.
Over his career, Mr. Chandra has held senior positions in both Union and State governments, contributing significantly to public administration, infrastructure development, and urban affairs. His expertise will add significant value to IIM Calcutta’s Public Policy and Management curriculum.
