RVNL Appoints Amit Tandon as Director (Projects) to Lead Key Railway and Metro Infrastructure Projects

New Delhi: Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has announced the appointment of Mr. Amit Tandon as the new Director (Projects), effective January 2, 2026. The appointment, made following an order from the Ministry of Railways, is in line with regulatory guidelines. Mr. Tandon will hold the position until his superannuation on January 31, 2030, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Profile of Mr. Amit Tandon

Mr. Amit Tandon is a civil engineer with over 25 years of extensive experience in railway and metro infrastructure projects. He is an officer of the 1995 batch of the Indian Railway Service of Engineers (IRSE) and holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering, graduating in 1991.

Prior to this appointment, he served as the Principal Executive Director at RVNL in Kolkata, where he oversaw key infrastructure projects including metro systems, highway bridges such as the Kona Expressway, and extensive railway track works. His expertise in large-scale transport and infrastructure projects is expected to contribute significantly to RVNL’s ongoing and upcoming projects.

Responsibilities as Director (Projects)

In his new role, Mr. Amit Tandon will be responsible for supervising and guiding all major project developments undertaken by RVNL. This includes metro rail projects, highway bridges, railway track construction, and other critical infrastructure initiatives. His leadership is expected to strengthen project execution efficiency and ensure timely completion of strategic infrastructure projects across India.
