Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), a Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Railways, has announced the incorporation of a wholly owned subsidiary — Sabbavaram Sheelanagar Road Development Limited — in Andhra Pradesh, as part of its strategic diversification into the road infrastructure sector.
The new entity was incorporated on May 15, 2025, and will focus on infrastructure and construction activities, particularly in the area of road development. This marks a significant step for RVNL in expanding beyond its core rail-centric operations into multi-modal infrastructure, aligning with the government’s broader push for integrated connectivity.
With 100% ownership retained by RVNL, the move is expected to enhance the company’s role in executing large-scale infrastructure projects and strengthen its footprint in southern India.
