New Delhi: Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), a prominent Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) under the Ministry of Railways, has announced that it has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for a significant project awarded by Western Railway.

The contract involves strengthening Signal & Telecommunication (S&T) maintenance activities by deploying round-the-clock manpower for the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of signaling and telecom equipment installed at various locations across the Ahmedabad Division.

Project Scope and Value

The project is valued at Rs 40.41 crore and is scheduled to be completed within a 24-month execution period. This strategic contract is expected to enhance the operational reliability and safety of the S&T systems in one of the key railway divisions in Western India.

Positive Market Reaction

Following the announcement of the order win, RVNL shares witnessed a notable uptick, rising by 0.64% to Rs 346.60 as of 2:20 PM on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). The stock opened the trading session at Rs 344.25 and touched an intraday high of Rs 347.70, reflecting investor confidence in the company’s project pipeline and execution capabilities.
