In a significant development, eight officers from the State Administrative Service (SAS) in Madhya Pradesh are set to be awarded the prestigious Indian Administrative Service (IAS) rank this year. The state government has forwarded a panel of 24 names to the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) in Delhi for consideration.
As per the rules, three candidates are proposed for each vacancy, resulting in the submission of 24 names for the eight available IAS posts. The Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) meeting at UPSC is expected to take place before February to finalize the selections.
