Coal India Limited (CIL), the world’s largest government-owned coal producer, has appointed Satyabrata Panda as an Independent Director on its Board.
Mr. Panda holds a Master’s degree in Economics from Utkal University and brings with him a strong background in journalism and public discourse. He is the editor of Bhumi, an Odia-language Economic Quarterly Journal known for its in-depth analysis of economic and policy issues. Over the years, Mr. Panda has contributed significantly to the regional and national understanding of economic affairs through his editorial work and public commentary.

Apart from his editorial responsibilities, he also serves as a member of the Board of Governors at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhubaneswar, where he is actively involved in academic and institutional development initiatives.
