New Delhi: The Shipping Corporation of India Limited (SCI) has appointed Mr. Mukesh Mangal, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPSW), as the Government Nominee Director on its Board, effective 23 February 2026. The Ministry conveyed the approval through letter No. SS-11025/1/2024-SU, following authorization by the Competent Authority.
Board Change at SCI
Mr. Mukesh Mangal’s appointment follows the provisions of Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, which mandates timely disclosure of changes in board composition for listed companies. SCI will complete all statutory formalities associated with this appointment, including necessary filings with stock exchanges and regulatory authorities.
At the same time, the Ministry announced that Mr. R. Lakshmanan, Joint Secretary, MoPSW, will cease to be the Government Nominee Director on SCI’s Board with immediate effect, marking the conclusion of his tenure.
