Mr. Ajay Seth, a 1987-batch Karnataka cadre IAS officer, has been assigned the additional charge of Secretary, Department of Revenue. He is currently serving as the Economic Affairs Secretary.
This development follows the elevation of Mr. Sanjay Malhotra (1990-batch Rajasthan cadre IAS officer), a senior IAS officer, to the position of Governor of the Reserve Bank of India. Prior to this, Mr. Malhotra was serving as the Revenue Secretary in the Ministry of Finance.
