New Delhi: The 1994 batch senior IAS officer of Himachal Pradesh cadre, Ms Anuradha Thakur has been appointed as a part-time member of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). The appointment, effective June 16, 2025, was updated on SEBI’s official website on Wednesday.
Thakur currently serves as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the Department of Economic Affairs (DEA). She is slated to assume the post of Economic Affairs Secretary from July 1, following the retirement of incumbent Ajay Seth (IAS:1987:KN) on June 30.
Her appointment adds to the list of high-ranking government officials serving on the SEBI board in an ex-officio capacity. She joins:
- M Rajeshwar Rao, Deputy Governor, Reserve Bank of India (RBI)
- Deepti Gaur Mukerjee (IAS:1993:MP), Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs
