Mr. Akshay Sachdeva, a 1991-batch IPS officer, has been appointed as the Director General of Police (DGP) of Sikkim. Previously serving as Special DGP, Law and Order, Mr. Sachdeva succeeds outgoing DGP Mr. A.K. Singh (1990-batch IPS officer).
Chief Minister Mr. Prem Singh Tamang congratulated Mr. Sachdeva on his promotion, expressing confidence in his leadership and dedication to public service. “His dedication to public service inspires confidence in his ability to lead Sikkim toward greater progress and excellence,” the Chief Minister said.
CM Tamang also extended heartfelt gratitude to the outgoing DGP, Mr. A.K. Singh, for his remarkable service to Sikkim, wishing him a fulfilling retired life.
