Senior IPS officer Ms. Sonia Singh has been appointed as Inspector General (IG) in the National Investigation Agency (NIA) for a tenure of five years.
An order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Friday, December 20, 2024, confirmed the appointment. The order states that the competent authority has approved Ms. Singh’s posting for a period of five years from the date she assumes charge or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Ms. Singh, a 2003-batch IPS officer from the Nagaland cadre, brings extensive experience to her new role in the premier investigative agency.
