Shivendra Shukla has been appointed as an Additional Director (Part-time Government Director) on the IRCTC Board, effective from September 3. Currently, he serves as the Executive Director (Passenger Marketing) on the Railway Board.
According to IRCTC’s regulatory filing to the stock exchange, the Ministry of Railways has appointed Shukla to this role, where he will serve until he holds the post of Executive Director (Passenger Marketing) or until further orders, whichever comes first.
Shukla, an Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) officer from the 1998 batch, has a distinguished career of over 25 years with Indian Railways. He has been in his current role since July 10 and brings extensive experience and knowledge to the IRCTC Board. Shukla holds a B. Tech and M. Tech from IIT Kanpur and a Post Graduate Programme in Public Policy Management from IIM Ahmedabad.
Throughout his career, he has held leadership positions across several railways, including the Northern Railway, North Eastern Railway, East Central Railway, and the Indian Railways Institute of Transportation Management. Before his current role, Shukla was the Additional Divisional Railway Manager, Lucknow (Northern Railway).
