The government of West Bengal has lately orchestrated a significant bureaucratic reshuffle by transferring three senior IAS officers.
Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Mr. Prabhat Kumar Mishra, a 1993-batch IAS officer, has been given the responsibility of the Finance Department with an additional charge of the Department of Planning and Statistics. Officer Mishra had earlier served in the Department ofIrrigationn and Waterways with additional charge of the Water Resources Investigation and Development Department and Project Director, AIDM.
Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) of the State’s Finance Department, Dr. Manoj Pant (1991 batch IAS officer), who had been entrusted with the responsibility of irrigation and waterways only a few hours ago, has been appointed the new Chief Secretary of the government of West Bengal.
Ms. Roshni Sen, a 1993-batch IAS officer, was appointed the new ACS of the Water Resources Investigation and Development Department and Project Director ADMI, a department earlier looked after by IAS Mishra. She will continue to look after fisheries, aquaculture, aquatic resources and fishing harbour in the capacity of additional chief secretary and discharge responsibilities as the chairman and managing director of West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation.
