Kolkata: In a significant move to deepen its presence in Eastern India, Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Limited (HURL) has inaugurated its West Bengal & Assam State Office in Kolkata. The event marks a new chapter in HURL’s mission to bring strategic proximity and responsiveness to key agricultural markets in the region.
The inauguration was led by Dr. S.P. Mohanty, Managing Director of HURL, and the State Head – West Bengal & Assam, alongside notable stakeholders including market leaders and dealers from across both states.
A New Hub for Growth and Connectivity
The newly inaugurated Kolkata office is a strategic addition to HURL’s regional network, designed to enhance service delivery, streamline operations, and foster stronger engagement with local stakeholders. The facility will serve as a regional hub for supporting fertilizer distribution and agri-solutions tailored to the unique needs of Eastern India’s farming communities.
This move aligns with HURL’s larger vision of empowering Indian agriculture through innovation, accessibility, and on-ground partnership.
Dealer Conference Unites Stakeholders Around a Shared Vision
Complementing the inauguration, HURL hosted a dynamic Dealer Conference in Kolkata, bringing together a large network of dealers from West Bengal and Assam, as well as members of the state marketing teams. The event provided an open forum for discussion, feedback, and collaboration — reinforcing the symbiotic relationship between HURL and its distribution partners.
Speaking at the conference, Dr. S.P. Mohanty stressed the significance of the dealer network in achieving last-mile impact.
“Our dealers are the true enablers of change. In a country where agriculture sustains millions, it is their commitment and connectivity with farmers that brings our mission to life. Together, we aim to build a more empowered and sustainable agricultural future,” he said.
Empowering Agriculture Through Local Partnerships
The dual events – office inauguration and dealer conference – not only symbolize HURL’s growing footprint in Eastern India but also reflect its strategic focus on localization and partner-driven growth. Through increased collaboration and regional presence, HURL aims to create a stronger, more resilient supply chain and bring farmer-focused innovations closer to the field.
This milestone further cements HURL’s role as a catalyst for agricultural transformation across India.
