New Delhi: The Government of India has announced key administrative appointments in two major departments—Postal Services and Digital India Corporation—reflecting continued efforts to strengthen leadership in governance and digital transformation.
Suvendu Kumar Swain to Join Postal Services Board
Senior Indian Postal Service (IPoS) officer Suvendu Kumar Swain (1990 batch) has been appointed as Member (Personnel), Postal Services Board in the Higher Administrative Grade (HAG), Level 16 of the Pay Matrix.
Currently serving as Chief Postmaster General (CPMG), Chhattisgarh Circle, Swain will succeed Manju Kumar, who retires on October 31, 2025.
With over three decades of experience in postal administration and public service management, Swain’s appointment is expected to further enhance personnel efficiency and service modernization within India Post.
Nand Kumarum Gets Additional Charge of Digital India Corporation
In another key development, Nand Kumarum, President & CEO of the National e-Governance Division (NeGD), has been assigned the additional charge of Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD & CEO), Digital India Corporation (DIC) for a period of six months.
A 2008-batch IAS officer of the Madhya Pradesh cadre, Kumarum has been instrumental in driving several national e-governance initiatives and digital transformation projects under the Digital India Mission. His additional role will focus on strengthening innovation, capacity building, and digital infrastructure to accelerate India’s digital ecosystem.
