Kozhikode: In a significant development for India’s legal and financial community, Chief Commissioner of CGST & Customs, Thiruvananthapuram Zone, S.K. Rahman, an IRS officer of 1992 batch, inaugurated the revamped website of Taxscan.in – TAXSCAN 2.0 – on Wednesday at the Taxscan headquarters, located in Hilite Business Park, Kozhikode.

A Leap Toward Smarter Legal Access
The launch of TAXSCAN 2.0 marks a milestone in Taxscan’s mission to provide a one-stop digital hub for tax, finance, and legal professionals across India. Designed with a streamlined user interface and enhanced search capabilities, the new platform promises faster access to legal updates, advanced tax analysis, and case law interpretation.

The upgraded features were showcased to IRS Rahman by CEO Abdullah Karuthedakam and CTO Fayaz, who explained how the new design will serve the evolving needs of India’s growing finance ecosystem.

Veteran IRS Officer S.K. Rahman Leads the Launch
An Indian Revenue Service officer with over 32 years of experience, Mr S.K. Rahman is known for his distinguished contributions in the fields of GST enforcement, customs, anti-smuggling operations, and financial policy-making. Speaking at the launch, he praised the digital initiative and shared guidance on leveraging AI and technology for better governance and service delivery.

He emphasized the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence in modern tax administration and called on platforms like Taxscan to be torchbearers in bridging the gap between the taxpayer and the regulatory system.

Knowledge Exchange and Expert Insights
Following the formal unveiling, an interactive session took place with the Taxscan team, where Shri Rahman fielded insightful questions on GST governance, enforcement challenges, and systemic reforms needed to improve taxpayer experience.

Adding depth to the session, Ashif A, Deputy Commissioner of Customs (IRS), offered a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the life of a Customs officer, shedding light on daily operational challenges and ground realities in revenue enforcement.

A Confluence of Legal Minds
The event saw participation from chartered accountants, legal professionals, and advocates affiliated with the Bar Council of Kerala, who commended the initiative and shared their perspectives on the increasing intersection of law, technology, and fiscal responsibility.

Looking Ahead: A Digital Future for Tax Law
As India’s financial and legal sectors move rapidly toward digital integration, platforms like Taxscan.in are set to play a pivotal role in shaping informed, transparent, and accessible systems. TAXSCAN 2.0, under the expert guidance of leaders like S.K. Rahman, signals a strong step toward that future.
