Raipur: Under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, Chhattisgarh is witnessing a comprehensive digital transformation aimed at enhancing administrative efficiency, ensuring transparency, and delivering public services directly to citizens’ doorsteps. The state is setting a national example through the successful integration of technology into governance—from the ministry level down to gram panchayats.
Taking Digital Services to the Villages
One of the most significant breakthroughs has been the deployment of Atal Digital Seva Kendras in 1,460 gram panchayats, enabling pensioners and beneficiaries of schemes like the Mahtari Vandan Yojana to withdraw their DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) funds locally. This step has eliminated the need for rural citizens to travel to distant bank branches, thus improving financial inclusion and convenience.
E-Governance: Paperless, Faster, Transparent
The successful rollout of the e-Office system in ministries and directorates has now expanded to district-level offices. The shift has drastically reduced file-processing time, enhanced transparency, and eliminated bureaucratic delays.
In the land administration sector, 10 digital services have streamlined registration procedures. Citizens can now register land and houses from their homes via Aadhaar-based appointments, and post-registration transfer processes are now automated.
Reforming Revenue Administration with Geo-Referencing and E-Courts
The state has completed the geo-referencing of 14,490 villages, a major milestone that will help resolve land disputes efficiently. For Kharif 2025-26, over 14,000 villages have been included in the digital crop survey, enabling more precise monitoring of agricultural activities.
Through e-Courts, revenue cases are being resolved swiftly, and the Atal Monitoring Portal offers real-time tracking of all government schemes and programs.
Digital Tools Empowering Employees and Pensioners
To simplify processes for government employees and pensioners, the state has digitalized access to vital documents including e-PPOs, GPF statements, and final pension certificates via DigiLocker. The Employee Corner app and portal allow for easy updates to service records.
Pioneering AI and Digital Infrastructure
Chhattisgarh is also making strides in the field of artificial intelligence with the country’s first AI Data Center Park coming up in Nava Raipur. This initiative is expected to drive the digital economy and position the state as a national leader in AI-based services.
Smart Governance: Healthcare, Minerals, and Citizen Feedback
The state’s CGMSCL app is ensuring real-time tracking of medicine supply chains, especially benefiting tribal and remote areas. The Mineral Department’s online transit pass system has brought greater transparency in mineral transportation.
Furthermore, the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) Portal has been launched to enhance citizen-government dialogue, giving people a more direct and responsive channel to voice concerns and suggestions.
A Statewide Digital Uplift
From urban centers to remote villages, Chhattisgarh’s digital journey is reshaping public service delivery and strengthening citizen trust in governance. With a continued focus on AI, e-governance, and digital access, the state is playing a pivotal role in realizing the Digital India vision.
