Rishikesh: THDC India Limited (THDCIL) has added a new feather to its cap as its Human Resource Development (HRD) Centre in Rishikesh has been officially recognized as a ‘Centre of Excellence’ by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) India. This prestigious accolade places THDCIL’s HRD Centre in the league of elite public sector learning institutions, such as those operated by IOCL and HPCL.
This recognition under the SHRM-PSE Benchmarking Initiative highlights THDCIL’s continued efforts in capability building, leadership development, and creating a future-ready workforce.

CMD R. K. Vishnoi: A Testament to People-Centric Growth
Mr R. K. Vishnoi, Chairman and Managing Director, THDCIL, congratulated the entire HR team on the achievement. He emphasized that the recognition is a testament to THDCIL’s commitment to nurturing talent, fostering a high-performance culture, and aligning with its broader vision of developing future-ready professionals.

Mr Shallinder Singh, Director (Personnel), THDCIL, also expressed pride and appreciation for the achievement, calling it a “feather in THDCIL’s cap” in its journey of human capital development.

A National and Global Learning Destination
The HRD Centre at Rishikesh has emerged as a preferred hub for capability development, not only for THDCIL employees but also for several other Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) and multinational corporations (MNCs). In FY 2024–25 alone, the Centre recorded a training revenue of ₹90 lakh, reflecting its expanding impact across industries.
THDCIL now aims to achieve a training revenue of ₹2 crore in the coming year. The Centre also plans to expand its footprint internationally, targeting global clients and institutions seeking excellence in professional development.

The ‘Centre of Excellence’ certificate was formally presented by Mr. Nishith Upadhyaya, Executive Director, Knowledge & Advisory Services, SHRM India, and Mr. Nishant Parashar, Senior Manager, SHRM India.
