Yavatmal: Forest officials in Tipeshwer Wildlife Sanctuary arrested five individuals on September 7 for allegedly attempting to hunt wild animals inside the protected area. The arrest came after swift action by forest staff who intercepted the accused while they were reportedly engaged in illegal hunting activities.
Arrest and Court Proceedings
The five accused were produced before a local court, which remanded three of them to three-day forest custody. The remaining two were released on bail. The operation was led by Assistant Conservator of Forests P.N. Jadhav, Range Forest Officer R.S. Jadhav, and Round Officer A.M. Choudhari, supported by forest guards and staff.
Ongoing Investigation and Appeal for Cooperation
Divisional Forest Officer Uttam Phad informed that further investigations are underway to uncover the full extent of the illegal hunting activities. Phad stressed that wildlife conservation is a collective responsibility and urged citizens to cooperate with the forest department to prevent such crimes.
