Tripura Govt Transfers 15 IAS & TCS Officers, IAS Chiranjeev Anand as Commissioner of Taxes and TCS Hari Kishore Uchai to Karbook

Agartala: In a significant administrative move, the Government of Tripura has issued three separate notifications between 10 and 15 November 2025, transferring and posting a total of 15 IAS and Tripura Civil Service (TCS) officers. The orders, issued by the General Administration (Personnel & Training) Department, take immediate effect and will remain in force until further notice.

Key Transfers of TCS Officers on 10 November

The first notification, dated 10 November, involved the transfer of four TCS officers:

  • Mr. Hari Kishore Uchai, TCS Gr-II: Moved from DC, SDM’s Office, Ambassa to DC, SDM’s Office, Karbook.
  • Mr. Babul Malakar, TCS Gr-II: Transferred from DC, SDM’s Office, Gonda Twisa to DC, SDM’s Office, Panisagar.
  • Mr. Subhash Debnath, TCS Gr-II: Shifted from DC, SDM’s Office, Jirania to DC, SDM’s Office, Gonda Twisa.
  • Mr. Joy Manik Bongshi, TCS Gr-II: Posted from Addl. BDO, Panisagar R.D. Block to Deputy Director, Kokborok & Other Minority Languages, Agartala.

The notification was signed by Jai Datta, Under Secretary to the Government of Tripura, at 4:05 PM.

Additional TCS Postings Announced Same Day

A second notification issued later on 10 November included two more TCS officers:

  • Mr. Jayanta Bhattacharjee, TCS Gr-I: Transferred from ADM & Collector (P), DRDA, Gomati District to Joint Secretary, Governor’s Secretariat, Tripura.
  • Mr. Sanjit Debbarma, TCS Gr-I: Moved from Sr. Dy. Magistrate, Sepahijala District to ADM & Collector (PPs), Gomati District.

This notification was issued by Saurav Kumar Debbarma, Deputy Secretary to the Government of Tripura.

Major Reshuffle on 15 November Involving IAS and TCS Officers

The third and most extensive notification, issued on 15 November, included nine officers, both IAS and TCS, reflecting one of the largest mid-November administrative reshuffles in the state. Key postings included:

  • Mr. Chiranjeev Anand, IAS: Transferred from SDM, Jampuijala to Commissioner of Taxes, Agartala.
  • Mr. Amitabha Chakma, TCS Gr-I: Moved from Joint Director, Urban Development Department, Agartala to SDM, Jampuijala.
  • Mr. Deepak Kumar, IAS: Appointed as Director, Industries & Commerce, Agartala; also holds charge of Managing Director, TIDC Ltd.
  • Mr. Gugulavath Sharath Nayak, IAS: From SDM, Kamalpur and EO, Kamalpur NP to CEO, Ayushman Bharat; Executive Secretary, THPS; and State Mission Director, ABDM.
  • Mr. Gideon Molsom, TCS Gr-II: From Deputy Director (Admn.), AGMC & GBP Hospital, Agartala to SDM, Kamalpur, also holding EO, Kamalpur NP.
  • Mr. Ashis Biswas, TCS Gr-I: Transferred from Addl. SDM, Belonia to SDM, Belonia.
  • Mr. Swarup Kr. Paul, TCS Gr-II: Posted from DC, SDM’s Office, Udaipur to Addl. SDM, Belonia.

Additional changes included relieving officers of certain additional charges to optimize administrative efficiency.

The notification was issued by J. Datta, Under Secretary to the Government of Tripura.

Objective of the Reshuffle

The reshuffle impacts key administrative positions across districts including Gomati, Dhalai, Sepahijala, South Tripura, Khowai, and North Tripura. The state government aims to streamline governance, enhance administrative efficiency, and strengthen district-level administration. By realigning officers with strategic roles, Tripura hopes to improve service delivery and coordination across its civil administration.
